About The Artist

Romualdas Inčirauskas is one of the most famous metal artists in Lithuania. He was born 1950 in Anykščiai (Lithuania)and has completed education at Higher School of Applied Art in Telšiai and Tallinn’s Art Academy (metal) in Estonia.

Right now the artist lives in Telšiai and is a Professor at Vilnius Art Academy (Telšiai Faculty) as well as member of Lithuanian Artist’s Association (LAA) and International Medallist’s Federation (FIDEM). 

Creative fields - sculpture, medals, painting. The artist also creates monumental metal relievo and sculptures for architecture, interior accents. Most of these can be seen in the Old Town of Telšiai. Central one being the Door of the Cathedral of St. Antanas Paduvietis. Sculptural relievo in the Great Samogitian Wall, signs-sculptures for the memory of Jewish community, sculptural (20 sculptures) project TELZ (property of Vilnius Gaon Jewish Museum).

The artist has chosen a bird as his painting subject. The Bird that always changes combinations of forms and color, tries to fill all the space of a canvas and transforms into a symbol. Harmony of color, details with shining gold creates grandeur, spreads harmony and comfort.

His works have been acquired by Lithuanian and foreign museums. The most famous of these are the British Museum in London and the Lithuanian National Museum.

Works are in private collections in Lithuania, Russia, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Japan, Israel, USA and others!

2021 Received a honorary citizen of Telšiai title.
2020-2021 Judaica Art Medal Award Announced at International Exhibition of Contemporary Art Medals, FIDEM XXXVI, Tokyo, Japan.
